Typical warm roof or cold roof installations
Working with a warm roof
GRP roofs can be used easily to meet either cold or warm specification. First steps:
- Apply sub-decks to the joists at 300mm centres
- Add a vapour check
- An insulation sheet is then laid over the top
- Insulation sheets can also be bought with a vapour check in-situ
Stage 2
- The decking is fixed on top using screws to fix the boards to the joists
- All roof layers are pressed firmly together ensuring no gaps
- GRP is then laminated over the top
